ธิรตฺถุ ตํ วิสํ วนฺตํ ยมหํ ชีวิตการณา วนฺตํ ปจฺจาวมิสฺสามิ มตํ เม ชีวิตา วรนฺติ ฯ วิสวนฺตชาตกํ นวมํ ฯ ---------
เราจักดูดพิษที่คายออกแล้ว เพราะเหตุแห่งชีวิตอันใด พิษที่คายออก แล้วนั้นน่าติเตียน เราตายเสียประเสริฐกว่าความเป็นอยู่. จบ วิสวันตชาดกที่ ๙.
พิษที่คายออกแล้วนั้น น่าขยะแขยงเหลือเกิน เราตายเสียยังดีกว่าการที่เราจะต้องดูดพิษ ที่คายออกแล้วกลับคืนมาเพราะเหตุมีชีวิตวิสวันตชาดกที่ ๙ จบ
