ในคดีหมิ่นประมาทซึ่งมีคำพิพากษาว่าจำเลยมีความผิดศาลอาจสั่ง
(๑) ให้ยึด และทำลายวัตถุหรือส่วนของวัตถุที่มีข้อความหมิ่นประมาท
(๒) ให้โฆษณาคำพิพากษาทั้งหมด หรือแต่บางส่วนในหนังสือพิมพ์หนึ่งฉบับหรือ หลายฉบับครั้งเดียวหรือหลายครั้ง โดยให้จำเลยเป็นผู้ชำระค่าโฆษณา
