นอกจากการพ้นตำแหน่งตามวาระ กรรมการตามมาตรา ๕(๕) (๖) (๗) และ
(๘) พ้นจากตำแหน่ง เมื่อ
(๑) ตาย
(๒) ลาออก
(๓) ขาดคุณสมบัติหรือมีลักษณะต้องห้ามตามมาตรา ๗
(๔) เป็นคนไร้ความสามารถหรือเสมือนไร้ความสามารถ เล่ม ๑๒๕ ตอนที่ ๔๔ ก
(๕) กพฉ. ไม่น้อยกว่าสองในสามของจำนวนกรรมการทั้งหมดเท่าที่มีอยู่ให้ออกเพราะ บกพร่องต่อหน้าที่ มีความประพฤติเสื่อมเสีย หรือหย่อนความสามารถ
