ในการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ พนักงานเจ้าหน้าที่ต้องแสดงบัตรประจำตัวของ ศรชล. หรือบัตรประจำตัวเจ้าหน้าที่ของรัฐของหน่วยงานของรัฐต้นสังกัดประกอบกับคำสั่งแต่งตั้งให้เป็น พนักงานเจ้าหน้าที่ของ ศรชล. ต่อบุคคลที่เกี่ยวข้อง ทั้งนี้ บัตรประจำตัวพนักงานเจ้าหน้าที่ของ ศรชล. ให้เป็นไปตามแบบที่ผู้อำนวยการกำหนด ผู้อำนวยการจะกำหนดให้ใช้เครื่องหมายแทนบัตรประจำตัวพนักงานเจ้าหน้าที่ก็ได้ ทั้งนี้ การใช้หรือแสดงเครื่องหมายให้เป็นไปตามระเบียบที่ผู้อำนวยการกำหนด
