พนักงานเจ้าหน้าที่หรือเจ้าหน้าที่ของรัฐซึ่งปฏิบัติหน้าที่ภายในพื้นที่ที่กำหนด ตามมาตรา ๒๗ วรรคสาม อาจได้รับสิทธิและค่าตอบแทนพิเศษตามที่คณะรัฐมนตรีกำหนด พนักงานเจ้าหน้าที่หรือเจ้าหน้าที่ของรัฐตามวรรคหนึ่งผู้ใดเจ็บป่วย เสียชีวิต ทุพพลภาพ พิการ หรือสูญเสียอวัยวะอันเนื่องมาจากการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ ให้ได้รับสิทธิประโยชน์อื่นนอกเหนือจากที่มีกฎหมาย กำหนด ทั้งนี้ ตามระเบียบที่คณะรัฐมนตรีกำหนด เลม่ ๑๓๖ ตอนที่ ๓๐ ก หนา้ ๑๘
