ในกิจการที่เกี่ยวกับบุคคลภายนอก ให้ผู้อำนวยการเป็นผู้แทนของสำนักงาน ส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัล และเพื่อการนี้ผู้อำนวยการจะมอบอำนาจให้บุคคลใดปฏิบัติงานเฉพาะอย่างแทนก็ได้ แต่ทั้งนี้ต้องเป็นไปตามระเบียบที่คณะกรรมการกำกับสำนักงานส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัลกำหนด การรักษาการแทน และการปฏิบัติหน้าที่แทน ให้เป็นไปตามระเบียบที่คณะกรรมการกำกับ สำนักงานส่งเสริมเศรษฐกิจดิจิทัลกำหนด
