นอกจากการพ้นจากตำแหน่งตามวาระ เลขาธิการพ้นจากตำแหน่ง เมื่อ
(๑) ตาย
(๒) ลาออก
(๓) ขาดคุณสมบัติตามมาตรา ๓๐ หรือมีลักษณะต้องห้ามตามมาตรา ๓๑
(๔) คณะกรรมการมีมติให้ออก เพราะบกพร่องหรือทุจริตต่อหน้าที่ มีความประพฤติเสื่อมเสีย หรือหย่อนความสามารถ
(๕) คณะกรรมการให้ออก เพราะไม่ผ่านการประเมินผลการปฏิบัติงาน
(๖) ออกตามกรณีที่กำหนดไว้ในสัญญาจ้างหรือข้อตกลงระหว่างคณะกรรมการกับเลขาธิการ เลม่ ๑๓๖ ตอนที่ ๖๙ ก หนา้ ๓๔
