ในการปฏิบัติการตามหน้าที่ คณะกรรมการ คณะกรรมการส่งเสริมและรักษา มรดกภูมิปัญญาทางวัฒนธรรมกรุงเทพมหานคร คณะกรรมการส่งเสริมและรักษามรดกภูมิปัญญาทางวัฒนธรรม ประจำจังหวัด คณะอนุกรรมการกลั่นกรอง คณะอนุกรรมการ คณะทำงาน หรือกรมส่งเสริมวัฒนธรรม อาจเชิญบุคคลใดมาให้ข้อเท็จจริง คำอธิบาย ความเห็น หรือคำแนะนำทางวิชาการได้เมื่อเห็นสมควร และอาจขอความร่วมมือจากบุคคลใดเพื่อให้ได้มาซึ่งข้อเท็จจริง หรือเพื่อสำรวจกิจกรรมใดที่อาจมีผลกระทบ ต่อมรดกภูมิปัญญาทางวัฒนธรรม
