ในกรณีที่ผู้ต้องขังซึ่งถึงกำหนดปล่อยป่วยหนัก ไม่สามารถไปจากเรือนจำได้ และขออนุญาตอยู่รักษาตัวในเรือนจำต่อไป ให้ผู้บัญชาการเรือนจำพิจารณาอนุญาตตามที่เห็นสมควร แต่ต้องรายงานให้อธิบดีทราบ
