อุปสาฬฺหกนามานํ สหสฺสานิ จตุทฺทส อสฺมึ ปเทเส ทฑฺฒานิ นตฺถิ โลเก อนามตํ ฯ
พราหมณ์ชื่อว่าอุปสาฬหกทั้งหลาย ถูกญาติทั้งหลายเผาเสียในประเทศนี้ ประมาณหมื่นสี่พันชาติแล้ว สถานที่อันใครๆ ไม่เคยตายแล้ว ย่อม ไม่มีในโลก.
ยมฺหิ สจฺจญฺจ ธมฺโม จ อหึสา สญฺญโม ทโม เอตทริยา เสวนฺติ เอตํ โลเก อนามตนฺติ ฯ อุปสาฬฺหกชาตกํ ฉฏฺฐํ ฯ ---------
สัจจะ ๑ ธรรม ๑ อหิงสา ๑ สัญญมะ ๑ ทมะ ๑ มีอยู่ในบุคคลใด พระอริยะทั้งหลายย่อมคบหาบุคคลนั้น คุณชาตินี้แลชื่อว่า ไม่ตายในโลก. จบ อุปสาฬหกชาดกที่ ๖.
