๑๐. ทุทททชาดก (๑๘๐) ว่าด้วยสัตบุรุษให้ทานที่ให้ได้ยาก (ฤๅษีโพธิสัตว์กล่าวสรรเสริญทานที่ทายกถวายด้วยจิตเลื่อมใสมีผลมากแล้ว จึงอนุโมทนาว่า)

ทุทฺททํ ททมานานํ ทุกฺกรํ กมฺมกุพฺพตํ อสนฺโต นานุกุพฺพนฺติ สตํ ธมฺโม ทุรนฺวโย ฯ
เมื่อสัตบุรุษทั้งหลาย ให้สิ่งของที่ให้ยาก ทำกรรมที่ทำได้ยาก อสัตบุรุษ ทั้งหลาย ย่อมทำตามไม่ได้ ธรรมของสัตบุรุษรู้ได้ยาก.
ตสฺมา สตญฺจ อสตญฺจ นานา โหติ อิโต คติ อสนฺโต นิรยํ ยนฺติ สนฺโต สคฺคปรายนาติ ฯ ทุทฺททชาตกํ ทสมํ ฯ กลฺยาณธมฺมวคฺโค ตติโย ฯ --------- ตสฺสุทฺทานํ สุสมญฺญ มิคาธิภู มาณวโก วาริพหุตรูปาทิจฺจุปฏฺฐานา สกฬาย สตินฺทุก ปงฺก ปุน สตธมฺม สุทุทฺททเกน ทส ฯ ---------
