ยสฺเสเต จตุโร ธมฺมา คุณา ปรมภทฺทกา สจฺจํ ธมฺโม ธิติ จาโค ทิฏฺฐํ โส อติวตฺตติ ฯ
ผู้ใด มีคุณธรรม อันเป็นเครื่องให้เจริญอย่างยิ่ง ๔ ประการนี้ คือ สัจจะ ๑ ธรรม ๑ ธิติ ๑ จาคะ ๑ ผู้นั้น ย่อมล่วงพ้นศัตรูได้.
พญาวานร ผู้ใดมีธรรม ๔ ประการนี้ คือ (๑) สัจจะ (๒) ธรรมะ (๓) ธิติ (๔) จาคะ เช่นกับท่าน ผู้นั้นย่อมครอบงำศัตรูที่ตนพบเห็นได้
ยสฺส เจเต น วิชฺชนฺติ คุณา ปรมภทฺทกา สจฺจํ ธมฺโม ธิติ จาโค ทิฏฺฐํ โส นาติวตฺตตีติ ฯ กุมฺภีลชาตกํ จตุตฺถํ ฯ ---------
ส่วนผู้ใด ไม่มีคุณธรรม อันเป็นเครื่องให้เจริญอย่างยิ่ง ๔ ประการนี้ คือ สัจจะ ๑ ธรรม ๑ ธิติ ๑ จาคะ ๑ ผู้นั้นย่อมล่วงพ้นศัตรูไม่ได้. จบ กุมภีลชาดกที่ ๔.
ส่วนผู้ใดไม่มีคุณธรรมอันเป็นเครื่องให้เจริญอย่างยิ่ง ๔ ประการนี้ คือ (๑) สัจจะ (๒) ธรรมะ (๓) ธิติ (๔) จาคะ ผู้นั้นย่อมครอบงำศัตรูที่ตนพบเห็นไม่ได้ กุมภีลชาดกที่ ๔ จบ
