พระยาช้างชื่อมหิฬามุข ได้เที่ยวทุบตีคน เพราะได้พึงฟังคำของพวก โจรมาก่อน พระยาช้างผู้เชือกอุดมตั้งอยู่ในคุณทั้งปวง ก็เพราะได้ฟังคำ ของท่านผู้สำรวมดีแล้ว. จบ มหิฬามุขชาดกที่ ๖.
พญาช้างต้นชื่อมหิฬามุขได้เที่ยวทำร้ายคน เพราะสำเหนียกคำของพวกโจรมาก่อน พญามงคลหัตถีได้ตั้งอยู่ในคุณธรรมทั้งปวง เพราะสำเหนียกคำของนักบวชผู้สำรวมดีมหิฬามุขชาดกที่ ๖ จบ
