ประกาศคณะปฏิรูปการปกครองในระบอบประชาธิปไตย อันมีพระมหากษัตริย์ทรงเป็นประมุข ฉบับที่ ๓๖ เรื่อง กฎหมายว่าด้วยการรักษาความปลอดภัยสถาบันพระมหากษัตริย์ เพื่อให้การรักษาความปลอดภัยสำหรับองค์พระมหากษัตริย์ พระราชินี พระรัชทายาท ผู้สำเร็จราชการแทนพระองค์ พระบรมวงศานุวงศ์ ผู้แทนพระองค์ และพระราชอาคันตุกะ เป็นไปโดย รัดกุมและเรียบร้อยยิ่งขึ้น จึงให้ระเบียบสำนักนายกรัฐมนตรีว่าด้วยการรักษาความปลอดภัยสำหรับ องค์พระมหากษัตริย์ พระราชินี พระรัชทายาท ผู้สำเร็จราชการแทนพระองค์ พระบรมวงศานุวงศ์ ผู้แทนพระองค์ และพระราชอาคันตุกะ พ.ศ. ๒๕๔๖เป็นพระราชบัญญัติว่าด้วยการรักษาความปลอดภัย สำหรับองค์พระมหากษัตริย์ พระราชินี พระรัชทายาท ผู้สำเร็จราชการแทนพระองค์ พระบรมวงศานุวงศ์ ผู้แทนพระองค์ และพระราชอาคันตุกะ พ.ศ. ๒๕๔๙ ทั้งนี้ ตั้งแต่บัดนี้เป็นต้นไป ประกาศ ณวันที่ ๓๐ กันยายน พุทธศักราช ๒๕๔๙ พลเอก สนธิ บุญยรัตกลิน หัวหน้าคณะปฏิรูปการปกครองในระบอบประชาธิปไตย อันมีพระมหากษัตริย์ทรงเป็นประมุข
