ยศตำรวจมีตามลำดับ ดังต่อไปนี้ พลตำรวจเอก พลตำรวจโท พลตำรวจตรี พันตำรวจเอก พันตำรวจโท พันตำรวจตรี ร้อยตำรวจเอก ร้อยตำรวจโท ร้อยตำรวจตรี ดาบตำรวจ จ่าสิบตำรวจ สิบตำรวจเอก สิบตำรวจโท สิบตำรวจตรี ว่าที่ยศใดให้ถือเสมือนมียศนั้น ถ้าผู้ซึ่งมียศตำรวจเป็นหญิง ให้เติมคำว่า “หญิง” ท้ายยศตำรวจนั้นด้วย
