นอกจากการพ้นจากตำแหน่งตามวาระตามมาตรา ๑๙ สมาชิกสภาที่ปรึกษา การบริหารและการพัฒนาจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้พ้นจากตำแหน่ง เมื่อ
(๑) ตาย
(๒) ลาออก
(๓) สภาที่ปรึกษาการบริหารและการพัฒนาจังหวัดชายแดนภาคใต้มีมติให้พ้นจากตำแหน่ง เพราะขาดคุณสมบัติและมีลักษณะต้องห้ามตามมาตรา ๒๐
(๒) ด้วยคะแนนเสียงไม่น้อยกว่าสามในห้า ของสมาชิกเท่าที่มีอยู่
(๔) ขาดคุณสมบัติหรือมีลักษณะต้องห้ามตามมาตรา ๒๐ (๑) (๓) (๔) (๕) (๖) หรือ (๗)
