บทว่า อนฺตา ได้แก่ ส่วนทั้งหลาย.
สูตรนี้ พระผู้มีพระภาคเจ้าตรัสตามอัธยาศัยของเวไนยสัตว์ผู้จะตรัสรู้ได้ ด้วยคำว่า อนฺโต โดยทรงประกอบขันธ์ ๕ เข้ากับอริยสัจ ๔.
