ในกรณีที่การดำเนินกิจการของกองทุนไม่มีความจำเป็นอีกต่อไป ให้คณะกรรมการนโยบายเสนอต่อคณะรัฐมนตรีเพื่อพิจารณาให้มีการยุบเลิกกองทุน เล่ม ๑๓๔ ตอนที่ ๑๙ ก เมื่อคณะรัฐมนตรีมีมติเห็นชอบด้วย ให้กองทุนยุบเลิกเมื่อพ้นกำหนดสามสิบวันนับแต่วันที่ คณะรัฐมนตรีมีมติ
