ในการปฏิบัติตามพระราชบัญญัตินี้ ให้พนักงานเจ้าหน้าที่มีอำนาจสั่งให้ผู้ทวงถามหนี้ หรือกรรมการ ผู้จัดการ ผู้มีอำนาจในการจัดการ หรือพนักงานของผู้ทวงถามหนี้ ในกรณีผู้ทวงถามหนี้ เป็นนิติบุคคล มาให้ถ้อยคำ แสดงข้อมูลหรือส่งสมุดบัญชี เอกสาร ดวงตรา หรือสิ่งอื่นอันเกี่ยวกับกิจการ สินทรัพย์ และหนี้สินของผู้ทวงถามหนี้และบุคคลดังกล่าวข้างต้น
