เมื่อยุบเลิกกองทุนแล้ว ให้ปลัดกระทรวงการคลังแต่งตั้งผู้ชำระบัญชีเพื่อตรวจสอบ ทรัพย์สินและชำระบัญชี รวมทั้งการโอนหรือจำหน่ายทรัพย์สินที่ยังคงเหลืออยู่ ทั้งนี้ ตามหลักเกณฑ์ วิธีการ และเงื่อนไขที่คณะกรรมการประกาศกำหนด เงินหรือทรัพย์สินที่เหลือหลังจากการชำระบัญชีให้นำส่งคลังเป็นรายได้แผ่นดิน
