เพื่อประโยชน์ในการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ของเจ้าพนักงานเรือนจำตามมาตรา ๒๕ ถ้าเจ้าพนักงานเรือนจำได้ขอให้บุคคลใดช่วยเหลือ ให้บุคคลนั้นมีอำนาจช่วยการปฏิบัติหน้าที่ของ เจ้าพนักงานเรือนจำได้ หากบุคคลนั้นเจ็บป่วย ได้รับบาดเจ็บ หรือตายเพราะเหตุที่ได้เข้าช่วยเหลือ เจ้าพนักงานเรือนจำซึ่งกระทำการตามหน้าที่ ให้บุคคลนั้นมีสิทธิได้รับประโยชน์ตามกฎหมายว่าด้วย การสงเคราะห์ผู้ประสบภัยเนื่องจากการช่วยเหลือราชการ การปฏิบัติงานของชาติ หรือการปฏิบัติตามหน้าที่ มนุษยธรรม
