ผู้ใดทำปลอมขึ้นซึ่งเงินตรา ไม่ว่าจะปลอมขึ้นเพื่อให้เป็นเหรียญ กระษาปณ์ ธนบัตรหรือสิ่งอื่นใด ซึ่งรัฐบาลออกใช้หรือให้อำนาจให้ออกใช้ หรือทำปลอมขึ้นซึ่ พันธบัตรรัฐบาลหรือใบสำคัญสำหรับรับดอกเบี้ยพันธบัตรนั้น ๆผู้นั้นกระทำความผิดฐานปลอม เงินตรา ต้องระวางโทษจำคุกตลอดชีวิต หรือจำคุกตั้งแต่สิบปีถึงยี่สิบปี และปรับตั้งแต่สองหมื่นบาท ถึงสี่หมื่นบาท
