จริงอยู่ พระองค์ทรงเห็นบุคคลผู้เสื่อมจากกายวิเวก ทรงทราบว่า เมื่อคนเหล่านี้ได้กายวิเวก กรรมฐานจักต้องมีพี่เลี้ยงนางนมดังนี้แล้ว จึงตรัสพระสูตรนี้.
