บทว่า ปริภวํ แปลว่า เหยียดหยาม. อธิบายว่า ถามเพื่อจะเหยียดหยาม ด้วยคิดว่า เราจักเหยียดหยามอย่างนี้ ดังนี้.
บทว่า ญาตุกาโม ได้แก่ เป็นผู้ใคร่รู้.
